Chuck Fink: Brief Bio
Chuck Fink dove into the art of storytelling at age 64. He has appeared in numerous shows throughout the Asheville area and Jonesborough, TN, telling personal stories filled with angst, drama, and a healthy dose of humor. The stories that Chuck tells tap into personal narratives spotlighting humorous and compelling experiences that span the gamut from hiking and golf mishaps, family, and so much more.
Chuck’s legacy includes founding 23 men’s groups in Asheville for aging and retired men. Before retiring to Asheville in the mountains of North Carolina, Chuck lived in Cincinnati. He enjoyed 31 years as an executive consultant and organizational development specialist through his company, Fink, Inc. Chuck instilled concepts and skills through storytelling to underscore the points he was making. His philosophy was simple: “People can’t learn and grow if they’re not paying attention and not connected. Stories make that connection come to life.”
Chuck is a member of The Storytelling Network and the North Carolina Storytelling Guild, and serves as Past President of the Asheville Storytelling Circle. For two years, he hosted a radio program, “Storyville,” where he interviewed storytellers from around the region and the world.
